The board of directors of Vunani is pleased to announce the appointment of executive director, Butana Khoza, as the company’s Managing Director with effect from 16 March 2010. Butana chairs the company’s property fund as well as its securities business and has been with the company since its inception in 1998. He was a co-founder of African Harvest Capital. Prior to Vunani, Butana worked in asset management at Southern Life Association Ltd then at Futuregrowth. Butana has shown exceptional leadership in advancing the growth and stability of Vunani as a major force in asset management, property and investment banking. He is considered an outstanding executive who will continue his dedication to promoting the success of the company. Ethan Dube, Vunani Chief Executive Officer said: “On behalf of the Board of Vunani I congratulate Butana on his appointment. He will support me in building Vunani to become South Africa’s pre-eminent mid-sized financial services company, and will be specifically responsible for the day to day management of the operating businesses.” Ethan Dube will retain his position as Group Chief Executive Officer of Vunani Limited with responsibility for driving the groups overall strategic objectives.
